The nice thing about the board game 13 Dead End Drive rules is that they are not difficult to understand. If you have never played before, it is not going to take you hours on end to find out what is going on. The basic rules of 13 Dead End Drive are simple. First off, you need to know that up to 12 players can compete during one game. Of course, this only happens in very rare circumstances. After all, how often do you have 11 other people who are willing to play with you at the same time? But nonetheless, the ability to play with up to 12 players is just one reason that 13 Dead End Drive has become so popular.

You need to know the three types of cards that are involved with a game of Thirteen Dead End Drive.

1. Character cards. These are passed out at the beginning of the game, and are used throughout the entire game. If your character dies, you lose; it is that simple!
2. Trap cards are used to kill off players. Obviously, this is something to avoid.
3. Portrait cards. These are used to show who the current favorite is to inherit the old woman’s money.

Now that you know about the cards, the next step is to learn the rules of how to play. During each player’s turn, he or she will roll two dice. Each one represents how far their two characters will move. One thing that many do not know is that you can move another player’s pawn in order to move it towards a trap. If an exact roll takes a pawn to a trap, the player must have the matching trap card at that time in order to spring it.

During the game, you will notice that a portrait card is always displayed in a picture frame; this is located directly above the fireplace. The character in the portrait is the current favorite to win (as mentioned above.) As you can imagine, this means that player is a “marked man.”

Additionally, there is a detective outside the mansion during each game of 13 Dead End Drive. He slowly moves closer and closer to the door of the mansion as the game progresses. When he arrives, this means that the will is going to be read. If your character’s picture is in the picture frame at that time, you are the big winner.

There are three ways that you can win a game of 13 Dead End Drive.

1. When a card you hold is the last character alive or...
2. If one of your character cards is able to leave the mansion while their picture is in the picture frame or...
3. When one of your character cards is the person in the picture frame when the detective arrives at the door of 13 Dead End Drive.
