anything but that. As a player, your main goal is to checkmate the
other player’s king. To checkmate means that the opposition’s king
is under attack, and there is no way that it can be moved during the
next play.

with chess strategies and tactics. Although there are many
strategies that can be used, there is no cut and dry way of ensuring
success. This is why it is thought that the game of chess is one of
mental prowess.
