The game of Life can be played by anywhere from two to six players.
The age range for players is nine and up. This makes it a perfect
board game for families as well as couples who are interested in
spending time together.
Many re-publishes in the history of the Life game have taken
place since 1860. The years for these updates include 1866, 1959,
1961, 1978, 1985, 1992, and 2005. The main reason for these updates
is quite simple. As times change, so does the way that people live
their life. And since that is what Life is all about, it only makes
sense that these changes continue to be made.
The most current version of the game was released in 2005 after a
few minor updates. These changes were made in order to make the game
of Life more realistic in today’s day and age.
Several of the most recent updates include:
1. More debt for players who start off on the college path. Whereas
this used to be $40,000, the most recent update puts players at
$100,000.
2. Life tile ranges were decreased to $10,000 to $50,000 from
$50,000 to $250,000. This was meant to make sure that the poorest
player did not come from behind at the end when the tiles were
flipped over.
The game of Life has changed a lot since 1860. Although the current
version of the game is up to date with modern times, there is a good
chance that minor revisions will take place in the next few years to
come. For a game that is called “Life” it is necessary to make sure
that every last detail and rule fits in with current times.
